The Craft

Bottled according to the highest ethical standards and available in still or sparkling form, we’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure that we’ve brought you the finest rosemary extract possible.

We pride ourselves on quality, using only the freshest rosemary to create No. 1 Rosemary Water, our unique trailblazing drink with delicious health-enhancing properties. Developed through a unique combination of extraction processes, our drinks only ever contain fresh herbs, never dried or synthetically grown, which are cold brewed to ensure that all of the active compounds found in nature are present.

After years of research and development, we’ve fine-tuned our extraction process to ensure that it’s as close to perfect as can possibly be. All of our extraction processes and products are independently tested and authenticated by the laboratories at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and as a result we’ve produced extracts that are as power-packed as possible.

Through external authentication, No.1 Rosemary Water is able to make realistic claims for our drinks’ health benefits and ensure that they contain the specified levels of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant substances. The drinks also contain no additives such as preservatives, flavours or essences.

The Craft

Throughout history, rosemary has been associated with memory and in order to back this up, we commissioned an academic study, which was published by the Journal of Psychopharmacology Today. Based on research by Dr Mark Moss, Head of the Department of Psychology at Northumbria University, the study concluded that drinking a concentrated rosemary extract drink can boost cognitive and memory performance by up to 15%.

Along with memory tests, Dr Moss conducted brain scans to show how ingesting rosemary extract drinks can increase the levels of deoxygenated red blood cells flowing through the brain. Rosemary is also believed to help improve mood and lift spirits as well as promoting gut and skin health. The research team concluded that the presence of 1,8-cineole and rosmarinic acid, which both occur in No1 Rosemary Water, may be important in delivering improved cognitive performance.
